In this season of giving, we are reminded of the profound impact of service—one of the core values of Radiology Partners that is foundational to everything we do.
While generosity and kindness often take center stage during the holidays, truly living the value of service means embodying these principles every day. As we reflect on the past year, we’re grateful for the many opportunities we’ve had to serve, recognizing how service unites us, strengthens our communities and magnifies the spirit of giving.
Service to the global community
In June 2024, RP partnered with RAD-AID International for a medical mission trip to Guyana, South America. Three radiologists and two technologists from RP volunteered to serve on the trip, providing guidance to residents in training at Georgetown Public Hospital in Georgetown, Guyana. RP radiologists focused on teaching residents at Guyana’s largest hospital, which serves as the referral site for the entire country. RP technologists spent time with technologists at the hospital and assisted residents with procedures. Read more here.
Additionally, in November 2024, RP partnered with RAD-AID Ghana for a mission trip to Ghana, Africa. A team of two radiologists and four technologists provided clinical support to two teaching hospitals in Accra, Ghana, and a group of 11 support teammates helped make much-needed updates to a school providing access to education for students in a remote part of Ghana. RAD-AID, which supports medical volunteer opportunities, helped connect RP with the school to give non-clinical RP teammates the opportunity to serve the community. More highlights from this trip coming in early 2025.
Service to our local communities
By living our value of service together, we amplify our collective impact. This year, our teammates came together in powerful ways to make a difference in their local communities.
Several teams volunteered with local nonprofit food rescue organizations or food banks to serve those in need in the community. Teammates from RP’s People & Culture team and Northshore Radiology Associates volunteered with Second Helpings Atlanta; RP’s Recruiting team partnered with the Atlanta Community Food Bank; and Human Resources and Premier Radiology teammates volunteered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
RP leaders built recreational equipment to donate to children in the community. RP operations leaders assembled skateboards and partnered with a Houston nonprofit organization, Child Advocates, to donate skateboards and helmets to local children in the foster system, and members of RP’s Senior Leadership Team partnered with Build-A-Bike to build bicycles, which were donated to Los Angeles Bike Academy.
Service to each other
The spirit of the season also calls us to serve within our own team. Living our value of service starts at home—by supporting one another, offering encouragement and fostering a culture of compassion. An example of our culture in action, RP One is RP’s teammate assistance fund, which provides grants to colleagues experiencing significant financial hardship due to individual hardships, emergencies or disasters. To date, RP One has issued nearly 500 grants totaling more than $1.02 million. Annually during the holiday season, we launch a Season of Giving campaign within RP to raise funds for RP One. All contributions made during the 2024 Season of Giving campaign will fund grants for our teammates experiencing hardship.
As we celebrate the season of giving, we recognize the power of service and how it unites us all. In the spirit of the season, we wish you a joyful and peaceful holiday.
