In September, Radiology Partners hosted more than 100 radiology fellows and residents at Transform, RP’s exclusive event for radiology trainees looking to connect with each other and radiology leaders to expand their radiology networks, learn more about our industry and radiology’s place in healthcare and get to know RP.
Trainees and their guests joined more than 50 RP leaders for this year’s event at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas, where attendees were immersed in RP’s unique culture, learning more about RP’s mission to transform radiology and our commitment to deepen the integration of our specialty across the continuum of patient care.
Transform 2024 started the way RP begins many of its gatherings: celebrating a patient save. Dr. Adrian Jaramillo, resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, presented “Obstetric Ultrasound: Sonographic Assessment of Uterine Rupture.” The weekend included engaging educational presentations about our industry and specialty: Dr. Chris Mattern, associate chief medical officer (ACMO) for radiologist experience at RP, presented on the state of RP and RP’s initiatives that make it easier for radiologists to focus on patient care; Dr. Kavita Patel, health policy expert and member of RP’s board of directors, spoke about challenges and opportunities in radiology; Jâlie Cohen, chief human resources officer at RP, and Kati Brady, VP and assistant general counsel at RP, discussed contracts; Dr. Jason Poff, director of innovation deployment at RP, spoke about AI in radiology; and Dr. Steven Craig, president of the RP SEAL Team, and Josh Kipnis, SVP of Operations and Integrations at RP, presented on remote reading and RP’s SEAL Team.
Interactive breakout sessions led by RP leaders focused on professional development and connection with trainees. Karen Vineyard, national director of credentialing, licensing and privileging at RP, presented on credentialing and licensing; Dr. Anand Singh, MSK radiologist and director of peer learning at Matrix at RP, discussed physician wellness and burnout; Dr. Michael Burke, MSK radiologist, and Dr. Josh Heck, chair of the executive committee of the presidents’ council at RP and president of Radiology Alliance, presented “RP Myth Busters;” and Dr. Aaron Hattaway, ACMO for internal market development at RP, spoke about healthcare economics.
