In mid-September, Radiology Partners hosted more than 60 radiology fellows and third- and fourth-year residents at Transform, an event to connect trainees with each other and with radiology leaders to learn more about our industry, radiology’s place in healthcare and the mission of RP.
More than 50 RP leaders gathered with trainees and their guests for this year’s event at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas. The weekend event included interactive general sessions; Dr. Anthony Gabriel, RP Chief Operating Officer, shared about the mission and vision of our practice; Dr. Chris Mattern, ACMO for Radiologist Experience, discussed the importance of the radiologist’s leadership; Dr. Rich Heller, ACMO for Communications and Health Policy, presented on consolidation and scale in healthcare; and Dr. Nina Kottler, ACMO for Clinical Artificial Intelligence, spoke about AI and innovation in our space.
The event also allowed for breakout sessions, where RP leaders led discussions in smaller groups, focusing on professional development and connection with trainees. Dr. Elizabeth Hawk, Director of Innovation Engagement, and Julie Sabor, Lead Physician Recruiter, shared their expertise on personal branding, CVs and interviews. There was also plenty of networking and fun! We set aside time to explore the city and concluded the weekend at a networking event at the Cosmopolitan.
There were many highlights from Transform. In fact, we kicked off the event the way RP begins many of its gatherings, celebrating a patient save. Dr. Yuzhou Liu, a third-year resident at the University of Arizona, shared about a unique case with all attendees. We were also excited to connect with a father and son radiologist duo, Drs. Matt and Andrew Kuhn, who both attended the event.
